DIALEKTIKA KUNINGAN — Kuningan University (Uniku) has officially launched its Professional Certification Institute (LSP) as of today, Saturday, February 15, 2025. This landmark event was marked by the presence of Arifatun Nurjannah from the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP) at Uniku’s Campus 1.

The visit from the BNSP representative aimed to witness the competency exams conducted by Uniku’s LSP for its students. Additionally, Arifatun presented the LSP Uniku license, officially registered with BNSP.

A Long-Awaited Achievement

Dr. Anna Fitri Hindriana, Vice-Rector I of Uniku, expressed her gratitude and pride in this significant achievement after a long journey of rigorous assessments by the BNSP.

“We are blessed today as Uniku now has an LSP after a long struggle and successful evaluations from the BNSP. This is a moment to be genuinely thankful for and proud of,” she remarked. Anna was accompanied by Fahmi Yusuf, MMSI., PhD., Director of LSP Uniku, during the event held in the Meeting Room on the second floor of Campus I.

Enhancing Student Quality

The establishment of LSP at Uniku is expected to enhance students’ quality by aligning their competencies with industry needs. Anna emphasized the importance of this certification in preparing students for the professional world. “With the presence of LSP, we hope to improve the quality of our students based on competencies aligned with industry demands,” she stated.

Among the competencies tested at LSP Uniku are Junior Programmer, Junior Graphic Designer, Digital Marketing, Work Agreement Drafter, and Biomass Parameter Measurer. Anna added that these certifications would help students gain recognition from BNSP.

Aiming for Academic Excellence

Vice-Rector I, Anna also highlighted that the establishment of LSP is part of Uniku’s continuous efforts to enhance educational quality. “This is another step towards improving the quality of education at our beloved campus,” she added.

Anna, hopes the entire Uniku academic community will utilize the LSP to its fullest potential. “I hope the LSP at our cherished campus will be used optimally by the entire academic community,” she said.

Fahmi Yusuf, Director of LSP Uniku, explained that the LSP would benefit both students and the educational institution overall. “This LSP will provide numerous benefits to students and the institution as a whole,” he said.

Moreover, the presence of LSP is expected to support the advancement of the educational institution. “May this bring significant benefits to our beloved institution’s progress towards a glorious Uniku,” concluded Dr. Anna.

With BNSP-registered competency certifications, Uniku students are expected to compete with graduates from other universities in Indonesia. “This certification assures companies that graduates possess the necessary industry skills,” said Anna.

Uniku collaborates with various companies and industries to ensure the competencies taught align with market needs. Through these collaborations, Uniku students can participate in internships and training at renowned partner companies, gaining valuable experience and insights into the professional world.
