DIALEKTIKA KUNINGAN — PSIS Semarang hosted Persib Bandung in a Liga 1 continuation match, where Maung Bandung secured a 1-0 victory despite playing with 10 men for half the match.

The match took place at Jatidiri Stadium, Semarang, on Sunday evening, February 9th. Paulo Gali nearly put the home team ahead in the second minute, but his shot from outside the penalty box hit the post.

Unlucky for Paulo, two minutes later he tried his luck again from outside the penalty box, but it hit the post once more!

Persib scored the first goal! Maung Bandung took the lead in the 36th minute with a header from captain Nick Kuipers. From a corner kick, Kuipers headed the ball into the far post, finding the back of PSIS’s net.

Misfortune struck Persib in the 42nd minute. Mateo Kocijan was given a second yellow card for stepping on Ridho Syuhada in the middle of the field, resulting in a red card and expulsion from the match.

The second half began with Persib Bandung on the attack. Gervane Kastaneer’s speculative shot went wide of the target.

Ciro Alves had a chance next. From a counter-attack, his shot landed in the hands of Syahrul Trisna.

In the last 20 minutes, PSIS Semarang dominated the game. The final whistle blew, and Persib secured a 1-0 victory.

This result keeps Maung Bandung firmly at the top of the Liga 1 standings with 49 points from 22 matches. Laskar Mahesa Jenar remains in 14th place with 21 points.***
