Especially when human life becomes more familiar with the internet, the world language teaching also does not want to be left to take advantage of easy access to the internet is to enrich the teaching of language especially English vocabulary.

The technology is developed year by year in all sector. Especially in education, the use of technology is quite developed. Information technology and computer allow the teaching is done by using computer or other multi-media.

Especially when human life becomes more familiar with the internet, the world language teaching also does not want to be left to take advantage of easy access to the internet is to enrich the teaching of language.

The using of computer network in teaching and learning process gives benefit in communicating directly with other user.

Heinich et al. (1986) suggests a number of advantages and disadvantages that exist on a computer medium. Computer applications such as blog as a tool of learning process give some of advantages and disadvantage from using computer as a media of teaching.

Several advantages are: Computer allow students to learn according to their ability; the use of computer in the process of learning makes students able to take control of learning activities; the use of computer in distance learning provides flexibility to students to determine the learning rate and choose the sequence of learning activities according to needs; the use of computer can improve learning outcomes with the use of time and cost relatively little.

As fact, there are some application in learning that made to help learners in getting knowledge. Therefore, the writer wants to discuss the teaching of vocabulary by using the media blog.

Blog is a website which usually contains a personal journal bloggers that can be accessed by all the people online. Teachers have recognized the innovative application of this Internet technology and have utilized it in the classroom.

For both learners and instructors, an education blog can be an effective and efficient technological tool. Blogs are ideal for students because they can be worked on at nearly any time and from any location that has an Internet connection.

As a consequence, computer-savvy teachers can utilize them to establish a classroom that extends outside the school grounds. The using of blog can be more attractive and interactive in teaching and learning process.

Blog entries can also provide a means of reflection. As Mynard suggest, “Foreign language students need to draw on previously learned language in order to write a blog entry, which means that they are very likely to be reflecting on their understanding of the language as they compose their log entries” (Mynard, 2007).

Related to the learners, teenagers acquire language because it is important to them. It is different from children, children learn language because they have a natural attraction and also there is evidence of a deep need. Teenagers must understand the foundation and purpose of language learning.

A curriculum that is centered on their interests and their world should also be developed. Presentations, role plays, and projects are all examples of language activities that give students more independence.

Giving learners more autonomy means giving them more chances to learn on their own. Teachers must guide learners to outside-of-the-classroom learning resources and give them with these chances.

According to statements above, it can be concluded that using blog can be one of the suitable media in teaching and learning for the teenagers. This is becoming more increasingly true in today’s language classrooms are thriving. On their own, students can study far more effectively.*** (Column)
